Are You Affected by Words? (Sunday Service, July 20, 2008)

June 13, 2019 jhake
BOND Sunday Service, July 20, 2008 (Premiere on YouTube and Facebook): Jesse talks about Rev. Jesse Jackson caught on a hot mic making vulgar statements about then-presidential candidate Barack Obama. Jackson accused Obama of "talking down to black people ... telling [N-word's] how to behave." Jackson said of Obama that he wants to "cut his [private parts] off." So we had a discussion among blacks, whites, and Hispanics in the congregation about the so-called "N-word," whether it affects them, and how. Children of God should overcome words, and not be affected by them. But you have to overcome anger. People use words to control you and be evil. But whites have a false guilt over "slavery" and so-called history.
